This is one of the most photogenic temples we have ever visited. This is always full of tourists, trying to capture one or the other of the 216 Buddha faces. YES, there are 216 gigantic Buddha faces on the temple towers.
We reached Bayon Temple around 9:30 am in the morning, the temple premises were already very crowded. Somehow we managed to click one of these:
There are different facial expressions and smile on different faces. And each one of those are amazing. Once we climbed up, taking the stairs, we could click some clear faces.
Also, the carvings on the walls are amazing and tells many stories. Here is one such artwork, showing Khmer Army with Elephants.
Bayon Temple is beautiful. To be honest, we have never seen anything like this before.
